BIM as a byproduct of the energy calculation
Digitalising the existing building stock is the largest single task in the energy transition, and modeling is what stalls it. Lamit reverses the order: the model is built because the physics calculation needs it, and the BIM model is what the owner receives.
Existing stock · Verified models · Network-ready
The bottleneck is the model, not the will
Every city knows which buildings should be renovated first. What is missing is an accurate, comparable model of those buildings — a modeling project with no immediate payer. When the model is a byproduct of a calculation someone already needs, that barrier disappears.
Existing data in
Drawings, laser scans, asset registers and measured consumption enter the process as the starting point, not as the deliverable.
Energy calculation
The building is calculated for all 8,760 hours. Producing that calculation requires a complete, consistent building model.
BIM as a byproduct
The model built for the calculation is the BIM model the owner needs — geometry, build-ups and quantities, already verified by physics.
Node in the network
The verified model joins A+Nodes as a calculation node, so the building contributes real behaviour to the district model.
What the chain leaves behind
An accurate BIM model
Not a visualisation: a model whose areas, volumes and material masses have survived an energy balance check.
A verified energy model
The same model answers renovation, heating system and grant questions without a new survey each time.
Documented building stock
Cities gain a machine-readable description of existing buildings — the base every renovation programme needs.
District-ready nodes
Each building feeds the network model with its real hourly profile instead of an annual consumption figure.
